Sandwich Solar is a local Kent-based solar team offering two clear routes: DIY plug-in solar guidance from £499 and MCS-certified rooftop installations from around £5,000.
What We Do
- DIY plug-in solar. Plain-spoken guidance for fence, balcony and garden systems, with an optional £50 electrician safety check.
- MCS-certified installations. Full rooftop PV, optional battery and EV charger integration, SEG-ready, 0% VAT, insurance-backed warranty.
- Site walk-throughs for shading, layout and cable routing, and fixed written quotes after a survey.
- Pointers to certified hardware and clear UK compliance references (G98/G99, SEG, MCS).

How We Talk About Solar
No jargon, no upselling. We would rather you buy a small, right-sized system that pays for itself than an oversized one that looks impressive on paper. If DIY is the right call for your home, we will say so. If MCS gives you a better outcome because of roof area, export income, or battery needs, we will say that too.
DIY or MCS?
- DIY is often the right call for renters, compact spaces, or fast daytime savings.
- MCS is the right call for larger roofs, battery storage, EV charger integration, or when SEG export income matters.
- Both routes are available from us, and sometimes the best answer is to start DIY and upgrade to MCS later.
